EMOTIONAL LITERACY AND RESILIENCY TRAINING

Neuroscience Meets Counselling

What is an Emotional Health Practitioner?

Emotional Health Practitioners believe that counselling should be backed by science. I use Neural Network Therapy® as a foundation to teach practical and straight forward ways to boost mood, reduce anxiety, manage anger, break unwanted habits and develop strong, healthy relationships. Neural Network Therapy® emerged in 1997, largely in response to advancements in neuroscience. Emotional health matters.

Mission Statement

Provide empathy, kindness and education to my clients.

The principles that govern my practice are: kindness, respect, safety, honesty, and integrity.

All of these principles are the foundation to trust.

To do this work, there must be a safe space and there must be trust.

Clients

Working with clients to improve their emotional health and well-being is an honour. I take the responsibility very seriously.

Comfortable Space

Whether online or in person, my goal is to create a comfortable space for us to work together. My tranquil home office allows for privacy and a quiet, inviting environment.

Work Life Balance

I believe work life balance is imperative to our well being and my schedule reflects that. I work to be accommodating of clients schedules with the understanding that rest and relaxation allow me to show up for my clients in a way that I can be most helpful and proud of.

As a trained secondary teacher, I combine my classroom experience with my individual practice working with at-risk youth, students with learning challenges, and Autistic individuals.

Jodi is a certified Reiki Level Two practitioner. Successfully managing a long term illness has provided Jodi with an informed perspective on the demands that come with this type of challenge. Jodi enjoys the beach, hiking, music, watching the Raptors, and spending time with family.

Your Voice Matters

I support using language that feels right for you. If that is some, none, or a combination of the words under the 2SLGBTQ+ umbrella, I will follow your lead. You don’t need to choose any identifiers or labels until and if / when you’re ready.
